Historic Wimbledon Tavern is a true country pub, original in style and setting. An enduring oasis that has been welcoming travellers for 135 years. Your hosts Robert and Lorraine are proud to keep the tradition going. Wimbledon Tavern is situated 20 km south of Pōrangahau on route 52 in the little farming community of Wimbledon, very close to Herbertville beach and ‘Cape Turnagain', where Captain Cook turned twice. The recently refurbished Wimbledon Tavern now boasts a beautiful decked garden bar, where you can relax enjoying a beer and a seafood basket, or perhaps a toasted sandwich and cup of coffee. If that doesn’t tempt your taste buds, the generous menu offers many more choices. Larger groups are easily catered for with an a la carte menu by arrangement.

Three bedroom accommodation available, all linen supplied. Fridge, microwave, stove. Meals available via the Tavern by arrangement. Handy to golf course, tennis court, swimming pool and close to Herbertville Beach. Alfresco dining. Historical building.
