Ideal for walking or cycling, this elevated trail offers sweeping views of the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges, the Manawatū River, and the surrounding countryside. Highlights include the Parahaki Bridge lookout, 30 metres above the river, featuring local artwork and cultural stories. With rest areas, lookouts, and sections that weave away from the highway, it’s a scenic and varied journey. For hikers, the path links with the Te Āpiti – Manawatū Gorge Track to form a 20km loop. Moderate fitness is recommended.
